New Armory Collections and Premier Season 5 Update

The brand new Spy Tech and Arabesque collection has finally been released in CS2

Valve has officially launched Premier Season 5 in Counter-Strike 2, bringing one of the biggest updates of 2026. Alongside the start of a new competitive season, players can expect a fresh Active Duty map pool, a CS Rating reset, gameplay adjustments, and brand-new Armory collections.
With the new Season 5 Update for Counter-Strike 2, Cache has officially been added to the Premier Map pool in favour of Overpass. We also got two entirely new skin collections. We now have the “Spy Tech Collection” with 17 community-made skins and the brand new oriental “Arabesque Collection” with another 17 community-made skins in Counter-Strike 2. Alongside the new Armory skin collections, we also got two new sticker collections, Auto Racing Stickers and Fruits and Veggies Stickers.

Let us go over the CS2 Premier Season 5 changes, but first, let us take a look at all of the new skins!

Premier Season 5

The start of a new Premier season also means a full CS Rating reset. Players must complete a new set of placement matches before receiving their Season 5 rating, while regional and global leaderboards have been wiped clean. Eligible players who earned enough Premier wins during Season 4 will also receive the corresponding Premier Medal.

As mentioned in our previous article and this introduction, the Premier Season 5 map pool changed a little, with Overpass being replaced by one of the all-time favourites and classical Counter-Strike maps, Cache!

Bomb explosions now have a larger blast radius

One of the biggest gameplay tweaks in the update affects the C4 explosion. Valve has increased the bomb's blast radius from 500 to 650 units, making it much harder to survive if you're caught too close to the detonation.

The change mainly affects players attempting last-second exits or saving weapons after the bomb has been planted. Positions that were previously considered safe may now result in taking significantly more damage, perhaps even death!

Alongside the gameplay impact, Valve also redesigned the explosion's visuals. The new effect features a much larger shockwave and a more dramatic fireball, making bomb detonations feel more powerful than before.

For players looking to save expensive rifles like the AWP, learning the new safe positions on each map will quickly become an important adjustment.

New Community-made maps

Counter-Strike 2 and Valve also rolled out moore Community made maps. Some of which were heavily anticipated by the community (and El Dorado by our writer, hi!) are sure to turn some heads! We can't wait to test them out in Competitive play and in Wingman. Congratulations to all the Mapmakers and valiant model makers to finally be added to the game!
