An open letter and think piece about the Knife/Glove Trade-Ups
These thoughts are from us to you, and this formulated statement is the personal view and opinion of our founder.
This is in no way financial advice. Always buy and sell at your own due diligence. There are always risks involved if you are investing, never mind what or where it is. Always be careful, do not get "FOMO" (fear of missing out). There will be other opportunities, and at the end of the day it is just money. Money comes and goes.
Thank you for reading this intro. Now it is time to get to our thoughts on the new update.
Our thoughts on the new Knife/Glove Trade-Up update
My current knowledge: knives are instantly tradeable after trade-up. That is the case if you have covert skins which are not trade-banned, giving you instantly the option to get a new knife.
Which means: increased supply + panic selling came together this morning / night. In that case, prices should already be the lowest they get. With the update, knife/glove combos got cheaper - more accessible for „normal“ players. We will come back to that in a second.
Play skins and budget skins
Lower knife/glove prices invite more people to get a combo when starting to play (which is good, assuming that people with glove knife combos also play more cs due to being more invested - both financially, but also joy-wise)
In that case the active playtime will increase, with that the demand for gloves and knives, and with that the prices of both.
What about long term?
My prediction would be that we end up with significantly increased play skin prices and knives/gloves down 20-30% which should be a decent deal for everyone who had a „normal“/diversified inventory.
What does this mean for the big collector/cash trader?
Cases should also increase long-term due to higher ROI across the board, no? Although having a counter effect due to higher tier knives being less of a jackpot.

Conclusion and final words
This is not financial advice, just a simple theory and our thoughts on this matter. Always think for yourself and never spend money you can not afford to spend.
