Today, the final two playoff participants of the IEM Global Challenge 2020 were decided. With the duel between Vitality and Astralis, the rematch of the final match of the BLAST Finals already took place before the playoffs. Excitement was preprogrammed for today's Friday.

16:00 CET Vitality vs. Astralis - 1:2

After Astralis' T-side was dismantled by the French on their map pick Nuke, the Danes came back into the game on Dust2 in overtime and clearly won the deciding match on Inferno. After a slow start, a great finish!

19:30 CET FURIA vs. Liquid - 0:2

FURIA narrowly lost Liquid's map pick. The North Americans had a clear game plan and executed it well. A strong comeback was not enough for the overtime. Their map pick Inferno was a relatively short affair. After a bad start on the T-side, FURIA completely lost control of the game and was dominated by Liquid.
