Natus Vincere - Latest performance & results
Natus Vincere, the CIS giant without significant tournament success in the second half of the year. Despite s1mple and electronic being two incredible individual top players on NAVI's side, they were not able to achieve any tournament success worth mentioning in CIS, nor on their return to Europe.
With a solid tournament win at Katowice 2020, the year started off with great success at one of the few LAN tournaments of the year. Nonetheless, the team has high standards, winning three of their last five matches, including a win against Liquid. Whether NAVI will continue to integrate B1T as their sixth player is still unknown, the youngster played in the Vulkan Fight Series with NAVI Juniors during the winter break.
In the duel between NAVI and Liquid, the odds are clearly in favor of the Russian team. However, this circumstance is mainly due to the partly weak performances of Liquid in recent months. They will return strongly from the winter break.
Liquid - Latest performance & results
Liquid ended the year with a success despite some weak phases. With wins against BIG, FURIA and Heroic they reached the final at the IEM. At the tournament, however, long-term player Twistzz also announced his retirement from the team and is looking for a European lineup. As a replacement FalleN was announced about two weeks ago.
But why was the experienced Brazilian the perfect solution and will he lead Team Liquid to the top of the world again? FalleN is one of the most experienced players on the scene and started his career already in 2005. Stewie2K took over the IGL role as well as the main-AWP for quite some time, but traditionally always played Rifle and Entry. Whether FalleN will eventually take over the role of the announcer is still unclear, but obvious. All in all he is the perfect addition to the talented Liquid lineup.
In the duel with NAVI, Liquid is clearly disadvantaged by the odds. However, this is mainly due to the still uncertain form of the North Americans, who have not yet played an official match since the lineup change. The game will be an exciting clash between two potential top-5 teams for the coming year.
Natus Vincere vs. Liquid - Map-Veto prediction
Natus Vincere will definitely choose Vertigo as a ban, which they never integrated into their map pool since its release. On the part of Liquid, it is likely that they will ban Train. Between NAVI and Liquid, the tip regarding the maps is on Nuke and Dust2. Which map Liquid will choose after the lineup change and long preparation time is relatively uncertain.
Natus Vincere vs. Liquid - Prediction
While between NAVI and Liquid the odds show a pretty clear picture, the result will be anything but obvious. The change and commitment of FalleN will be a large step back to the top of the world for Liquid.
