Biography

NOTE: The player section is a bit outdated! Information could have changed! We will try to update the articles as soon as possible, thanks for understanding!

Cédric "RpK" Guipouy was born on Aug. 12, 1989 in France and has embodied the French CS:GO scene for more than a decade. Back in 2007, Cédric entered the Counter-Strike: Source scene with team evidence.

The currently 31-year-old (as of Dec. 2020) played in almost all French top teams and has always been consistent. His nickname LeTank perfectly embodies his playing style. As an entry & rifler, he provides his team with space on the server and always subordinates himself to the team.

In early 2013, Cédric took a break of about two years before rejoining the professional scene with Titan. To this day, he plays at the top of the world and manages to impress with both his experience and his high individual skill, despite the great level at Vitality.

While RpK doesn't have a Twitch channel, he very regularly updates his social media Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. However, the posts are often identical, so he doesn't have any real distinctions in increased private use.

RpK - Career

RpK started his career in 2007 at evidence. At the time of Counter-Strike: Source, the best-known organizations were Epsilon eSports and VeryGames, where he also played in 2012, when CS:GO was launched. The team at that time consisted of SmithZz, kennyS, NBK, Ex6TenZ and RpK.

In 2013, RpK decided to hang up his active career after great first performances. For a long time there was speculation about ScreaM joining VeryGames. The deal went through a few days after. Cédric thanked the community and announced in an interview that he wanted to dedicate himself to his second great passion: his father's car repair shop.

After VeryGames had payment difficulties at the end of 2013 and the team had to give up, Titan was founded. After numerous player changes and difficulties to find a working lineup, RpK, who was inactive for about two years, was signed. Cédric decided to return to the professional CS:GO scene and should not regret this decision.

Via G2 Esports and Team Envy, the veteran made his way to Vitality. Together with his longtime friend apEX and the young star ZywOo, he was signed by the French organization at the end of 2018.

RpK - Achievements

The Frenchman achieved his first S-Tier success with VeryGames back in 2011 at the Electronic Sports World Cup, back in the days of CS: Source. Due to his break of about two years, Cédric missed the first Major events and accordingly participated in "only" nine Majors.

His first participation at Katowice 2015 ended in a disappointing thirteenth place together with Titan. His first big tournament win also followed soon after at the 2016 Esport Championship Series during his time at G2.

The next big success was at Esports Championship Series Season 7, where Vitality won $225,000 USD in prize money in the final match with FURIA. The most successful major tournament was a 5-8th place finish in Berlin 2019.

With Vitality, RpK played the most successful seasons of his career in 2019&20. Wins at the BLAST Premier: Spring Showdown, the BLAST Fall Regular Season, the IEM Beijing and the BLAST Premier Fall are the spoils of a great year. In total, Cédric's tournament earnings are estimated at around USD 600,000.
