Third day of play at the BLAST Spring Finals
Today there will be another deciding match between G2 and FaZe. Furthermore, Gambit, Complexity, BIG and NAVI will play the two upper-bracket semifinals.
Game 1: G2 vs. FaZe 12:30 p.m. (CET)
The loser of this duel will already have to leave the event after the second game. While the FaZe Clan has to compete in the lower bracket, as expected, the relatively clear defeat on the part of G2 in the duel with BIG was surprising. All in all FaZe did much better than expected in the duel with NAVI and lost more than unluckily. A great comeback on the part of olofmeister. Between G2 and FaZe, the odds still clearly favor the team around star player NiKo.
Game 2: Gambit vs. Complexity 3.30 p.m. (CET)
In the upper-bracket semifinal Gambit, the current number 1 of the EsportFire World Ranking, will face Complexity. The team around blameF had big difficulties in the last months but is slowly getting back in shape and defeated NiP in the first match of the current event with 2:0. Between Gambit and Complexity the odds are clearly in favor of the Russian top team, which won against Evil Geniuses and was successful in the last six matches.
Game 3: BIG vs. NAVI 6.30 p.m. (CET)
In the second upper-bracket semifinal between BIG and NAVI, the odds clearly favor the Russian top team. However, the German top team is also getting into better and better shape and has recently been able to record a number of victories again. On the first matchday, the team won against G2, while NAVI more than narrowly defeated FaZe Clan. An exciting match can be expected between the two top teams.
