Going into the last ever CS:GO Major in Paris one thing was missing: The Anubis Collection. The speculations on how and when it will be introducted to the game were ongoing for weeks. Since the 25th of April we got certaincy. The Anubis colleciton got implemented as an in-game purchasable package through the main menu for a prize of EUR 2 per package.
In the following article we will take a closer look at all 19 new skins and categorize them per their quality. Valve released five grey skins, four light blue, four blue, three purple, two pink and one red skin in the new Anubis Collection. Anubis Collection Consumer Grade Skins
As already mentioned in the introduction, we got five different Consumer Grade skins in the Anubis Collections. The package as a whole has a clear theme, which reflects Anubis as a map. Most of the skins are brownish and have an antic vibe. For the grey skins we got a new M249 | Submerged, an AUG | Snake Pit, a MP7 | Sunbaked, a R8 Revolver | Inlay & a XM1014 | Hieroglyph.
Anubis Collection Industrial Grade Skins
Next up, are four Industrial Grade skins that got released together with the new Anubis Collection. The skins also known as light blue, feature the MAC-10 | Echoing Sands, the SSG 08 | Azure Glyph, the M4A1-S | Mud-Spec and the USP-S | Desert Tactical. While some of them look quite boring in the preview, each has their own charm in-game as you can see in the screenshots below!
Anubis Collection Mil-Spec Skins
Coming to the Mil-Spec skins in the Anubis Collection, things are getting more and more interesting. Next to the Tec-9 | Mummy's Rot and the MAG-7 | Copper Coated, there are an AK-47 | Steel Delta and an AWP | Black Nile part of the blue category. Both of those skins have a dark grey, simple design and could be a super cool t-side combo for a decent price.
Anubis Collection Restricted Skins
The following three skins that are featured in the Restricted category match together perfectly. When thinking about the perfect Anubis skins the P90 | ScaraB Rush, the Nova | Sobek's Bite and the Glock-18 | Ramese's Reach would instantly come to your mind! The purple skins of the collection are really an amazing match for the theme of the map.
Anubis Collection Classified Skins
We already took a look at 16 out of the 19 new Anubis Collection skins and wanna get to the two classified ones. The P250 | Apep's Curse and the FAMAS | Waters of Nephthys are two community favorites. While the P250 has a cool agent design, the Famas has a unique and very cool holo effect implemented to the skin.
Anubis Collection Covert Skins
The one and only. The new Anubis Collection only features one Covert skin, the M4A4 | Eye of Horus! While some would argue that we're talking about one of the best looking and most unique M4A4 skins in the game, others are not the biggest fan of the new red skin, which is kinda standing out from the rest of the collection!
