DreamHack 2014 Planetkey Dynamics – General Team Information

The first lineup everyone thinks of, when someone mentions German Counter-Strike, is BIG, Berlin International Gaming, the most successful German team in the history of Counter-Strike. But, over time we had many other teams from Germany, one of them was Planetkey Dynamics. The lineup consisted of: Hendrik "strux1" Goetzendorff, Dimitrios "stavros" Smoilis, Alexander "alexRr" Frisch, Tobias "Troubley" Tabbert and Johannes "nex" Maget. The first game of the DreamHack 2014 Counter-Strike tournament for Planetkey Dynamics, who were placed in group C was against Ninjas In Pyjamas. Sadly, their opening match didn’t go as planned as Ninjas In Pyjamas prevailed on Overpass with a score of 16-2 and sent the German five stack to the elimination match.

The last chance to keep their hopes alive was determined versus ESC Gaming. This time they played on Mirage. After a close game and 60 minutes of playing ESC Gaming managed to defeat Planetkey Dynamics. The final result was 16-13 and with that, the end of the tournament run for Planetkey. With zero wins the team placed 13th to 16th, earning USD 2,000 in prize money.

DreamHack 2014 Planetkey Dynamics - Sticker Supply

The DreamHack 2014 Planetkey Dynamics sticker supply may shock some at first sight. The sticker is quite rare and has a low available supply on the different marketplaces. If we take a look at Buff163 we can find 17 of these stickers listed, while there are around 13 of them available for purchase on the Steam Community Market. But, as always, we need to keep in mind that there could be a significantly higher amount of stickers left in (private) inventories, or storage units. With that said, the exact current supply is hard to determine.

DreamHack 2014 Planetkey Dynamics - Price Trend/Development

Just like other paper stickers from the same tournament, the Planetkey Dynamics sticker has a clear increase in terms of its price. Ever since March 2020, the price has seen a continuous upwards trend. The last ten sales on Buff163 have been in the range of USD 35 and USD 40. Keeping that in mind, we can estimate that a new four-times craft costs around USD 150.

DreamHack 2014 Planetkey Dynamics - Sticker Crafts

When talking about stickers with a low amount of sticker crafts, the Planetkey Dynamics sticker is a good example. There are only 2807 skins with at least one Planetkey Dynamics sticker applied to them, while the amount of four-times crafts is significantly lower. The M4A1-S Leaded Glass crafted by @777hef is one of 170 skins with four stickers Planetkey Dynamics stickers applied to them. Another example is an one-out-of-one MAC-10 Heat, which is currently the #2 lowest float and owned by @h248go.

We don’t see heavy crafts that often nowadays, but @MeatyShmeaty decided to craft on a Negev dev_texture. That exact Negev is now owned by @gencobraCS. Featured next, is the DreamHack 2014 collector @aslan_501, who currently has an MP7 Urban Hazard four-times Planetkey Dynamics craft in his collection.

One great craft that we would love to showcase is the AUG Flame Jörmmungandr’s with Planetkey Dynamics stickers, which exists twice. One of them, with the better float, is owned by @_Sabach and the second one by @CHarambeCS. Another weapon that you don’t see that many crafts on is the MP5-SD. @ShayuCS spent some time and money to apply four stickers on the MP5-SD Oxide Oasis, making an amazing match.

As previously mentioned, many four-times Planetkey Dynamics crafts are one-out-of-ones. The Glock-18 Royal Legion in possession of @Ersan1337 is one of them. On the other side, crafts on the AK Elite Build and USP-S Orion are fairly common. For the Orion, there are eight, and @PizzzaBot is one of the owners that got their hands on this beautiful craft.

The DreamHack 2014 Planetkey Dynamics collector @super_zzo has quite a few different four-time crafts in his inventory. While his inventory has a lot to offer we decided to showcase the only four-times Planetkey Dynamics MP9 craft which got created on an MP9 Modest Threat. A five-times DreamHack 2014 Planetkey Dynamics craft that exists once was made by @Cyanidex333 on the number #1 float R8 Revolver Nitro.

Let's talk about some rifles. A few examples for those would be the M4A4 Tornado owned by @Obij01 and the M4A4 Global Offensive in the hands of @red507. How do you like the sticker and its crafts in general?

I was amazed when I first saw the MP5-SD Oxide Oasis owned by @ShayuCS with four DreamHack 2014 Planetkey Dynamics stickers. The combination of the skin and sticker is just perfect. I’d also like to mention the only five-times craft, which is the R8 Revolver Nitro by @Cyanidex333. The somewhat common AK Elite Build and AWP Elite Build combo is also worth mentioning. By far the best match of the skins and sticker in my opinion, although I might be slightly biased as I am also an owner of that combo.

Conclusion

We hope everyone enjoyed today’s Sticker Spotlight article. There are still a few teams left for us to cover in the upcoming weeks. Keep an eye on our Twitter in order to not miss them and have an amazing rest of your day.
