How To Play Counter Strike 2?

To gain access to the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test, players are selected based on various factors such as recent playtime on Valve official servers, trust factor and Steam account standing. If selected, players will receive a notification on the main menu of CS:GO and can enroll and download the limited test. More players will be added over time so keep checking your CS:GO main menu until the final release of Source 2 in Summer 2023.

Initially, the limited test sadly only offers the two game modes deathmatch and unranked competitive matchmaking on Dust2, community servers and workshops map are also not available. Upcoming releases of Source 2 will also contain other game modes, maps and features. Additionally, Counter-Strike 2 is currently only available for Windows but as the CS:GO community is mainly playing on Windows this should not be a big problem.

Important: There's no such thing as Beta Keys! Don't log into any websites promising to gain access to the beta! The only way to play Counter Strike 2 is through the main menu of thee game!

Can I Use My CS:GO Items In Counter-Strike 2?

Players will be able to use their CS:GO inventory items, including weapon finishes and stickers, in Counter-Strike 2. However, it will not be possible to modify inventory items within the game during the Counter-Strike 2 Limited Test. This means that applying stickers, scraping stickers, using Trade Up Contracts and other ways players can modify their in-game items are not possible during the limited test. If players want to modify their items, they will need to do so in CS:GO.

How To Report Bugs of Counter-Strike 2?

If you are one of the selected people who already have access to Counter-Strike 2 and you come across any bugs while participating in the limited test, you can report them by sending an email to cs2team@valvesoftware.com. Make sure to use "CS2LT Report" as the subject of the email. The email should include a detailed description of the bug you encountered, along with reproduction steps and any relevant screenshots or other helpful information.

This will enable the Counter-Strike 2 team to investigate and address the issue. The release of Counter-Strike 2 in the upcoming summer will only be as good as the feedback of the community. If you encounter any inventory item or weapon finish bugs report them following the same steps mentioned earlier.
