Three teams will qualify for the IEM Summer
The third and final day of the IEM Summer Closed Qualifier will decide who will advance to the main event. While OG and FunPlus Phoenix already qualified for the IEM Summer 2021, G2, FaZe, Movistar Riders and mousesports will play for the last place on the decisive day.
Game 1: FaZe vs. G2
In the lower-bracket semifinal between FaZe and G2, the odds favor the team around IGL nexa. The last direct duel at the ESL Pro League was won by G2. They recently qualified for the BLAST Spring Finals. FaZe lost relatively clearly against OG on the first matchday, while G2 left the server as winner in the match with mousesports. The second matchday ended in a 2-0 win for FaZe over a weak FURIA, while G2 surprisingly missed out on advancement against FunPlus Phoenix.
Game 2: Movistar Riders vs. mousesports
Mousesports is currently in a permanent load. Seven to eight bo3 duels within two days. The second one of today is against Movistar Riders. Given the odds, Mousesports is the clear favorite in this duel and would play the winner between FaZe and G2 if they win. Yesterday the team around IGL dexter managed to win three of their four matches and is therefore in good shape right now, while Movistar Riders lost their last two matches but surprisingly won against ENCE and FURIA at the IEM before.
