RMR-Major Ranking NA/CIS/Asia

RMR-Major Ranking NA/CIS/Asia

In order to increase fairness in the allocation of the Major participants and to make a prompt allocation of the Major places, filled with the current best teams possible, Valve created the so-called Regional Major Rankings. RMR points can be earned on different match days and tournaments and depending on the region, different numbers of participants can earn a place for the Major.

Ranking Nordamerika

North America is the second largest region after the EU ranking with a total of five major spots. There were also four tournaments where the teams had the opportunity to collect RMR points. The first place was secured with a victory at the cs_summit 6 and a third place at the IEM New York by Evil Geniuses. Close behind, with about 400 points, is the Brazilian top team FURIA who finished on the second place. As third team Liquid qualified as a legend for the upcoming major. The two remaining participations were secured by 100 Thieves and Team One. The two last named teams will participate in the Major as Contender and are the biggest surprise in the NA region. Somewhat surprisingly, Chaos was only able to secure eighth place after a few point deductions and Gen.G dropped out of the top four due to two cadre changes.

Final ranking NA: Evil Geniuses (5788), FURIA (<5375), Team Liquid (4795), 100Thieves (3401), Team One (3031)

Ranking Südamerika

Only five teams competed in two qualification tournaments in this region. BOOM Esports won against Isurus and RED Canids and qualified as a Contender for the upcoming Major.

Final ranking SA: BOOM Esports (4100)

Ranking Asia

At the qualifying tournament in Asia a total of nine teams competed for just one major place. TYLOO went into the tournament as the clear favorite for this place and also took first place. However, this result was anything but clear in the end. With only 88 points behind, ViCi Gaming narrowly missed the surprise.

Final ranking Asia: TYLOO (5688)

Ranking Oceania

There was also only one major place to be awarded in this region and Renegades managed to secure it. A close duel against ORDER decided in the last tournament, the POL Fall.

Final ranking Oceania: Renegades (4100)

Ranking CIS

In addition to the European and North American region, CIS is particularly interesting with five possible participations. The two Legend Stage places were secured by favorite Natus Vincere and Team Spirit. Nemiga Gaming qualified as third for the Challenger Stage, while Virtus.Pro and ESPADA will be participating in the Major as content providers.

Final ranking CIS: Team Spirit (5663), Natus Vincere (5561), Nemiga Gaming (5269), Virtus.Pro (5180), ESPADA (3834)
