After known public interest since November, G2 Esports finally announced Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen as their 5th man. The 24 year old Finn will replace the likewise 24 year old Serb Nemanja "nexa" Isaković who is being swapped over to OG Gaming.

Career Recap
As one of the highest earning Finnish Counter-Strike players of all time, Aleksib made his pro debut on a team in October of 2015 with
Recursive eSports and joined his first big name organization, then known as ENCE eSports, less than a year later. He only spent 4 months there however, and hopped around a couple more known Finnish orgs before re-signing with ENCE in early to mid 2018. There, he competed in 26 S-tier tournaments, finished on the podium in 8 of them, and had the unforgettable 2019 Katowice Major run that just fell short to a dominant Astralis.
Three months after being benched by ENCE, he made his move to OG, his first non-Finnish organization. He spent the past two years there until now signing with G2 Esports.
The Aleksi Affect
Many question the choice of Aleksib as the G2 fifth man. What's not in question though is his talent. Despite not being the greatest fragster or aimer on the server, Aleksi's game sense and knowledge will be the missing piece to the latest Major's runner-ups. Alongside m0NESY, 16 year old AWPer for G2, announced some time ago, he will be to elevate the roster and take much pressure off NiKo's back and perhaps, they may finally be able to claim a major title.
To Aleksi: EsportFire are your biggest fans! We're rooting for you, kamu.
