Grand Final
Today is the grand final of Flashpoint 3 between mousesports and NiP. While G2 is already third and Heroic fourth, Astralis and BIG will play for the fifth place. The two placements differentiate 100 RMR points in the final ranking. After Flashpoint 1 and 2 were two of the best paid tournaments in the last seasons, this event only offers a prize money of 50.000 USD.
Game 1: Astralis vs. BIG
In the first match of the day, Astralis and BIG, two of last year's top teams, will meet. Both teams showed relatively solid performances at Flashpoint and play for fifth place today. The Danes are the clear favorites in this match against BIG given the odds. While the German team around syrsoN had to fight for elimination already from the second round on, Astralis made it to the upper-bracket semifinals and had to admit defeat against Heroic after losing against mousesports. BIG was finally eliminated in the lower-bracket semifinals against the later finalist NiP.
Game 2: mousesports vs. NiP
In the grand final of Flashpoint 3 and thus the first RMR event mousesports and NiP meet. While mouz is still undefeated in the current event and is the big surprise of the tournament, NiP managed an excellent lower-bracket run. After losing to G2 in the upper-bracket semifinals, the team beat BIG, Heroic and G2 to finally reach the final. Between mousesports and NiP, the odds assign the favorite role to mouz. With a view to the upcoming major, the winner of the match will secure 1600 RMR points.
