In Counter-Strike, visibility is integral. A millimeter of vision can be the difference between winning a duel and losing it, and if you take competitive CS:GO or CS2 seriously, you know how important the ability to see your entire surroundings is. This is why players invest countless hours developing crosshairs, view models, resolutions, and settings to maximize visibility.

If you have played Counter-Strike in the past, you may have noticed that blood and bullet marks can get in the way of your visibility, creating the potential for losing rounds that shouldn't be lost. Luckily, EsportFire has a method for you on how to remove blood and bullet marks in CS2 and CS:GO.

Enable Developer Console

To make changes using commands, you need to enable your developer console. To do this, go into settings, select the Game category of the settings at the top, and locate the Enable Developer Console setting. Press on the dropdown option, then click Yes. Your developer console is now enabled, and it is by default bound to the “~” key on your keyboard.

Paste The Following Commands

Now that your developer console has been enabled, click “~” and paste the following commands into the console. The most common way to use the command "r_cleardecals" is by binding it to an already existing, much used function, like walking forward. Some examples for that would be:

  • bind "w" "+forward;r_cleardecals";
  • bind "a" "+moveleft;r_cleardecals";
  • bind "d" "+moveright;r_cleardecals";
  • bind "s" "+back;r_cleardecals";
  • bind "mouse1" "+attack;r_cleardecals";
  • bind "mouse5" "r_cleardecals"
*Don't worry, this will not unbind these keys to the actions that they are already bound to. Entering one of the five options above is enough, you don't need all of the commands! The last option shown above is in case you have a mouse with extra keys and want to remove blood and bullets manually!
