Katowice 2015 Counter Logic Gaming – General Team Information

There was a lot of pressure coming into this tournament for Counter Logic Gaming, as only two teams from North America had secured their spots. The North American team was represented by Stephen "reltuC" Cutler, James "hazed" Cobb, Tarik "tarik" Celik, Peter "ptr" Gurney, and Pujan "FNS" Mehta. Their Major run and dreams of reaching the top would start in Group C alongside Ninjas In Pyjamas, Keyd Stars, and HellRaisers. The opening match was set to be against HellRaisers. It went as they wanted it to go, with a victory on Nuke and a 16-14 score. Perhaps a bit too close for their taste, but they managed to get one step closer to reaching the playoffs.

Next up was Ninjas In Pyjamas. From a previous Sticker Spotlight, we know how strong the Swedish players were. CLG gave their best shot in this match on Mirage, but in the end, NIP took the victory with a 16-7 score. The last game in the group stage was the decider match, a match that would determine whether the team advanced to the playoffs or got eliminated from the Major. This is where they met Keyd Stars on Dust 2. Sadly, the North American team wasn't in the best shape, which cost them the playoff spot. The game ended with a 16-7 score for Keyd Stars, eliminating CLG from the tournament.

Finishing the group stage in 3rd place set them up to finish the overall Major tournament in the 9th to 12th place range, earning them USD 2,000 in prize pool money.

Starting with the AUG Midnight Lilly crafted by @RadiantCS_ in December 2022, with a float value of 0.002 – a lovely addition to their Katowice 2015 collection. Just a month prior to that, in November 2022, @jklsinclair crafted on a MAG-7 BI83 Spectrum, which is, like the AUG, a one-out-of-one craft.

A truly remarkable four-time craft is with the USP-S Road Rash, which got crafted six times. @schundner managed to acquire one for their inventory. On the other hand, a somewhat common craft that still looks impressive due to its distinct patterns is the M4A1-S Icarus Fell. Nineteen of these exist, with one of them being owned by @2kavCS.

@swajcs has an AWP Silk Tiger with four Katowice 2015 Counter Logic Gaming (Holo) stickers, creating a captivating blend of the same color from the stickers and the skin. This AWP currently exists two times. Another recent Katowice 2015 Counter Logic Gaming (Holo) sticker craft comes from @leafycs, who applied four stickers to an AK-47 Case Hardened pattern 464, showcasing the beautiful blue magazine.

One pistol I am excited to showcase is the Glock-18 Twilight Galaxy. Given the age of both the skin and the sticker, it's no surprise that there are eight of these in existence. @RaCSGO and @leajaa are two of the current owners of this amazing Glock-18. The final skin, once again complementing the stickers exceptionally well, is the AK-47 Frontside Misty. The total count of these crafts confirms this observation, with a total of 15 in existence. One of these is owned by @RealMaayazi.

Writers favorite

Light blue is personally one of my favorite colors, so seeing stickers and skins that both feature that aspect is amazing to me. The AWP Silk Tiger, decorated with the Katowice 2015 Counter Logic Gaming (Holo) stickers and owned by @swajcs, is certainly one of my favorite crafts. While there are many more crafts that I like a lot, I decided to mention my top three. Alongside the AWP, the crafts I'd most like to highlight are the AUG Midnight Lilly from @RadiantCS_ and the MAG-7 BI83 Spectrum crafted by @jklsinclair.

Conclusion

The sticker might not be as commonly seen nowadays, but it's still incredibly pleasing to encounter in the game. The Katowice 2015 Counter Logic Gaming (Holo) ssticker and team have undoubtedly contributed some valuable history to Counter-Strike's professional scene.
