Katowice 2015 Keyd Stars – General Team Information

The name "Keyd Stars" might not be familiar to many new Counter-Strike players. However, once they hear the names of the players who represented this team at this Major, they may become more curious. These players are five Brazilians who have left an indelible mark with their individual performances and achievements over the last few years. The players in question are Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo, Fernando "fer" Alvarenga, Lucas "steel" Lopes, Caio "zqk" Fonseca, and Ricardo "boltz" Prass.

Being the only South American team in the entire tournament, they had a lot to showcase to the world. The first challenge they had to overcome was Group C, which included Ninjas In Pyjamas, Counter Logic Gaming, and HellRaisers. The opening game, which many would consider the most important, was scheduled against one of the tournament favorites, Ninjas In Pyjamas. Keyd Stars put up valid resistance, but it sadly wasn't enough in the end. NIP took Inferno with a 16-9 score. The next game was against HellRaisers, which would already decide the team to be eliminated in the early stage of the groups. The map played was once again Inferno. This time they learned from their mistakes and didn't let this one slide, securing the victory 16-12. This victory earned them a spot in the deciders match, which would determine the team moving to the playoffs. The last opponent they had to play against was Counter Logic Gaming. They knew everything was on the line with this match. After only 40 minutes of playtime, Keyd Stars dominated CLG with a 16-8 score on Dust 2.

Next up were the quarterfinals with Virtus.pro on the opposite side of the server. The first map didn't go as planned. VP secured a convincing victory on Mirage with a score of 16-4. The second map was do or die. Keyd Stars once again showed that they had trained hard for this tournament. They rebounded from a challenging start on Overpass, ultimately winning with a score of 19-17. The last map of this BO3 series was Nuke. Some would say that this was the worst map of the whole tournament as Keyd Stars suffered a heavy defeat with a score of 16-1.

This loss in the quarterfinals put Keyd Stars in 5th to 8th place, receiving USD 10,000 from the prize pool money and earned direct qualification to ESL One Cologne 2015.

The topic of tournament stickers captures the interest of many people once they learn more about the in-game economy and the stickers themselves. However, certain aspects remain undisclosed to the public, such as the overall supply of a specific sticker. As an illustrative instance in this case, consider the Katowice 2015 Keyd Stars (Holo) sticker. Fortunately, the EsportFire Database provides a potential avenue for estimating the overall supply. For example, currently, there are 54 Katowice 2015 Keyd Stars (Holo) stickers listed on Buff163, 4 on Skinport, and 10 of them on the Steam Community Market.

Katowice 2015 Keyd Stars (Holo) - Price Trend/Development

It's quite the trend to see all Katowice 2015 stickers experience their first price increase in May of 2019, and the Katowice 2015 Keyd Stars (Holo) isn't any different. On the Steam Community Market graph, we can observe that this sticker has also had a few high spikes in price over the year, which quickly recovered afterward. However, looking at the whole picture, ever since its initial release, the sticker has been on a slow uptrend. Currently, the cheapest Katowice 2015 Keyd Stars (Holo) can be purchased on Buff163 for USD 240, while previous recorded sales were in the USD 205 to USD 235 range. Hence, a new four-time Katowice 2015 Keyd Stars (Holo) sticker craft could cost between USD 850 and USD 1000.

Katowice 2015 Keyd Stars (Holo) - Sticker Crafts

In the first eight years since the initial release of the sticker, 5,170 skins have been decorated with one or more Katowice 2015 Keyd Stars (Holo) stickers. Out of those 5,170 skins, 317 of them have had four or five Katowice 2015 Keyd Stars (Holo) stickers applied to them, making up 6% of the overall supply. This percentage is relatively low when compared to other Katowice 2015 stickers covered in our sticker spotlight series. Although the quantity isn't as large as some might have anticipated, there are still some remarkable crafts that you should be introduced to if you haven't seen them already.

Starting with the M4A1-S Knight owned by @AzzlackPremium, which features a lovely blend of golden/yellow colors on both the skin and sticker. Next, for all the Safari Mesh enthusiasts, we have the AK-47 Safari Mesh in the possession of @RaCSGO, who also owns a four-time AK-47 Predator and AK-47 Jungle Spray, both with four Katowice 2015 Keyd Stars (Holo) stickers. This forms a truly impressive AK trinity.

Then there are some less popular weapons, but with really cool skins that the Katowice 2015 Keyd Stars (Holo) sticker complements well. For instance, the XM1014 Banana Leaf held by @kosmoTheOnly, and the MP5-SD Agent, which is the only Katowice 2015 Keyd Stars (Holo) craft on this weapon owned by Katowice 2015 collector @n1cotrade. You have to admit that these are genuinely intriguing crafts that you don't come across very often.

In July of 2023, @gmachineCS decided to apply four Katowice 2015 Keyd Stars (Holo) stickers on his AK-47 Gold Arabesque, expanding his already existing Keyd Stars collection which I highly recommend checking out. Another Katowice 2015 collector we can't forget about is @DenisMe7. He currently owns a Glock-18 Brass that complements other crafts with Keyd Stars stickers applied to them, such as the AWP Oni Taiji and AK-47 Case Hardened.

It's evident that crafts with Keyd Stars stickers remain quite popular even nowadays, also thanks to individuals like @RadiantCS_ and @Gaveeeyy. In August of 2022, @RadiantCS_ created a four-time craft on the P90 Astral Jörmungandr, while @Gaveeeyy applied them to the MAG-7 Counter Terrace in May of 2023. We're pleased to see these crafts being created and receiving love from the community, and we're excited about the future ones that are yet to come.

Writers favorite

I'm a big fan of unique crafts that many people don't usually consider crafting. That's why I'd say that the XM1014 Banana Leaf from @kosmoTheOnly would be among my top three picks. Another one I really like is the M4A1-S Knight owned by @AzzlackPremium. It features an old school skin and an old school sticker that bring back many fond memories from the early days of the Counter-Strike era.
