Over the years, many tournaments have taken place in the game of Counter-Strike. One that we would love to shed some light on today is the Katowice 2015 Major tournament. We will provide a backstory about all the teams that took part in it. The first team to receive a sticker spotlight will be PENTA Sports. We will dive into their tournament participation, sticker statistics, including supply, price trends, and four/five-time crafts.
Katowice 2015 PENTA Sports – General Team Information
PENTA Sports was the only German organization that managed to qualify for the Katowice 2015 Counter-Strike tournament by finishing in the top eight at the DreamHack 2014 Major. Compared to DreamHack 2014, there were some roster changes and their team for the Katowice 2015 Major consisted of the following five players: Tobias "Troubley" Tabbert, Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend, Johannes "nex" Maget, Denis "denis" Howell, and Timo "Spiidi" Richter, with Alexander "alexRr" Frisch as their coach.
Their Group B wasn't the easiest task. However, like any other team, high hopes and good vibes were presented throughout the entire tournament for the PENTA Sports five-stack. The opponents they faced in Katowice were LGB eSports, Titan, and Team EnVyUs. The opening match was against LGB eSports. A rough start for the Germans and a couple of early rounds that didn't go their way resulted in a 16-3 loss on Dust 2. However, this didn't dampen their spirits, and they kept their heads up for an elimination match against Titan. This was their last chance to stay in the tournament, leaving no room for mistakes. The game was fully under their control, and after 20 rounds on Cache, they won with a scoreline of 16-4. The final hurdle before reaching the playoffs was once again LGB eSports, again on Dust 2. Armed with knowledge from their previous game and the mistakes they had made, PENTA Sports bounced back. In a close match that ended with a 16-12 victory, they secured second place in the group stage.
The toughest opponent was yet to come. The BO3 series showed that Fnatic was a force to be reckoned with. Even though PENTA Sports put up a tough fight, it wasn't enough to advance to the semifinals. Losing the series 2-0 placed them 5th to 8th overall in the tournament, earning them USD 10,000 in prize pool money and a direct qualification to the ESL One Cologne 2015.

The supply of Counter-Strike stickers is a broad topic that can be extensively discussed. One of the initial crafts created when the AK-47 Baroque Purple was introduced in the game was precisely with this sticker. Consequently, there are currently eight of them in existence. The Galil AR from @sh9ce stands out as one of my favorite crafts featuring the Katowice 2015 PENTA Sports sticker, perhaps even the best one. While there are a few more I like, none quite match up to the appeal of that Galil. Namely, the AK-47 Baroque Purple from @2kavCS, the P250 Facets from Steam user “revenge”, and the AK-47 Vulcan, which exists twice in Factory New condition. One of these is currently on one of @Skinport's bot accounts.
