Katowice 2015 Virtus.pro – General Team Information

Playing on home ground inside the Spodek Arena was a significant boost of confidence for Virtus.pro, something that many other teams could only wish for. Having over 10,000 people cheering for them from inside the Arena was certainly something that the Polish team needed as they entered the 2015 Major, which featured many talented teams and players fighting for the title.

The Virtus.pro lineup consisted of Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas, Filip "NEO" Kubski, Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski, Janusz "Snax" Pogorzelski, and Paweł "byali" Bieliński. They were under the guidance of Jakub "kuben" Gurczyński, their head coach, who helped them with everything they needed to progress as a team.

The group stage started out in Group D, where they faced off against Team SoloMid, Cloud9, and 3DMAX. In the opening match against 3DMAX, they won comfortably with a score of 16-5 on Overpass. The subsequent winner's match was against Cloud9, the North American powerhouse that had won against TSM. The map chosen for this match was Inferno. Although Virtus.pro had a shaky start, they gradually gained control as the game unfolded. Ultimately, they secured first place in the group stage, earning them a spot in the playoffs.

Heading into the quarterfinals, Virtus.pro had to raise their game to have a shot at the trophy. Their next opponent was Keyd Stars. Virtus.pro aimed to finish quickly and secured the first map, Mirage, with a score of 16-4. The second map went into overtime, with Keyd Stars securing Overpass 19-17. The final map of the BO3 series, which would determine the semifinalist, was Nuke. Returning from the break between maps, we witnessed a completely transformed Virtus.pro. They dominated with a 16-1 victory, cementing their place in the semifinals against Fnatic. This performance showcased that Virtus.pro was ready for any opponent.

The semifinals against Fnatic was the toughest series they had to play throughout the entire tournament. It started with Cobblestone, which was closely contested and could have gone either way. Ultimately, Fnatic found a final push that secured them the map after overtime, with a final score of 19-17. The second map was Mirage. Once again, Virtus.pro gave everything in their arsenal, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to level the map score.

With the loss against Fnatic, Virtus.pro finished the Katowice 2015 Major in 3rd to 4th place, alongside Ninjas In Pyjamas. They received USD 22,000 and direct qualification for the ESL One Cologne 2015 Major.

Katowice 2015 Virtus.pro (Holo) - Sticker Crafts

Over the past eight years, numerous crafts were created with the Katowice 2015 Virtus.pro (Holo) sticker. This can be observed from the number of sticker crafts documented on the @csfloatcom database. Currently, there are 11,003 skins that have been decorated with one or more Katowice 2015 Virtus.pro (Holo) stickers. Among these, 751 skins are four or five-time crafts, representing roughly 7% of the entire supply.

While I wish I could display every single craft that exists, a few have stood out more prominently than others. Starting off, there's the MAC-10 Neon Rider, which has been crafted twice. One of these can be found in the possession of @CHarambeCS, while the other is in the hands of @PhebCS. Similar to the MAC-10, an AK-47 Neon Rider also exists as a one-out-of-five craft, perfectly complementing the color variations. Recently, @noelrandomcs2 added one to their Katowice 2015 Virtus.pro (Holo) collection.

Another exceptional craft was created in December of 2022 by @jklsinclair, who applied four VP stickers to a StatTrak Factory New M4A4 In Living Color. This remains a unique piece within their Katowice 2015 skin collection, standing as a one-out-of-one craft to this day.

Of course, the timeless AWP Asiimov also deserves mention. It holds a total of 37 four-time Katowice 2015 Virtus.pro (Holo) crafts. The popularity of this craft is well understood, as it's in great demand by collectors. Two of the fortunate owners of this masterpiece are @n1co_kato15 and @kRYSTALcsgoo.

Katowice 2015 Virtus.pro (Holo) - Sticker Crafts

There are also quite a lot of pistol crafts with the Katowice 2015 Virtus.pro (Holo) sticker, mainly on the USP-S, but there are a couple of others that are worth mentioning. When it comes to USP-S crafts, we can't not talk about the USP-S Orion – an orange and black USP-S introduced back in 2014, right before the Katowice 2015 stickers were released. There are 20 versions of the USP-S Orion with four Katowice 2015 Virtus.pro (Holo) stickers applied to it in different floats, with the lowest one being 0.0009. One of those is owned by YouTuber and Twitch Counter-Strike streamer @propernator. Another well-known four-times VP USP-S craft is the USP-S Kill Confirmed. One of them is currently owned by @RadiantCS_

If you are more interested in newer crafts, then @McLarentCSGO's Desert Eagle Fennec Fox will for sure be one you will like a lot. @RadiantCS_ did the same craft, but with a slightly worse float. Last but not least, there is the Galil AR Sugar Rush by @smoke13337. Some of you may have already forgotten that this skin exists, but it indeed had four Katowice 2015 Virtus.pro (Holo) stickers applied to it twice. Both crafts are in Factory New condition and they look amazing.

Writers favorite

The popularity of this sticker has grown on me personally over the last couple of months. Usually, I wasn't the biggest fan of it, but as time goes on and more crafts come, I can say I like this sticker even more. Some crafts that I enjoy would be the M4A4 In Living Color by @jklsinclair and the Desert Eagle Fennec Fox by @McLarentCSGO.

Conclusion

Many memories still linger from the early days of the Spodek Arena and the teams that participated in this unforgettable tournament. I hope today's sticker spotlight finds you well and that perhaps you've learned more about the run that the Virtus.pro roster had back at the Katowice 2015 Major.
