Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski is an American CS:GO player who is under contract with Team Liquid
. The currently 23-year-old (as of Jan. 2021) is one of the best riflers in the scene and has been playing at the top of the world for years.
Jonathan used to be a StarCraft 2 player and joined his first CS:GO team in 2014. However, his nickname is from that time. ELiGE originally comes from the Spanish translation of the word "select". This was the alias of his favorite StarCraft 2 player back then.
Furthermore, EliGE is one of the founding members of the CSPPA (Counter-Strike Professional Players'Association), which was established in 2018. To his numerous tournament successes and personal awards we will come later.
While he uses his Twitter account with about 200,000 followers very actively to share game results and other impressions with his community, his Instagram profile with just two posts is pretty much inactive.
Jonathan has also not been using his Twitch account for some time. His 110,000 followers were able to watch his last livestream at the beginning of 2020.
ELiGE - Career
ELiGE's career started in 2014 with Team JusTus, but shortly afterwards he moved to SapphireKelownaDotCom. However, he was also only under contract with the Canadian organization for a very short time and only played two tournaments with the team. At the beginning of 2015, the American moved to the NA organization eLevate, where he played together with RUSH, among others.
Shortly after, to be exact, on 23.03.2015 ELiGE signed with Team Liquid
, which shortly before entered CS:GO. The team at the time consisted of adreN, daps, FugLy, NAF and nitr0, with Jonathan replacing NAF around two months after the formation. To this day, the American still plays on Team Liquid
, making him the longest still active player.
ELiGE - Achievements
Jonathan took part in his first S-Tier event together with Liquid
in 2015. About five months later, he played his first Major event at DreamHack Open Cluj-Napoca. A total of seven more should follow. The biggest success was a second place at ESL One: Cologne 2016, where they lost 0:2 in the final match against SK Gaming.
