The Russian Esport Organization was founded in 2016 and joined CS:GO almost three years later. The team is owned by the largest Russian telecommunication company MTS. With almost exclusively Russian players, the team is currently trying to qualify for major European tournaments. Gambit Youngsters became the Gambit main lineup in mid-2020.

Gambit - Archievments & price money

The team's biggest accomplishment was a victory at the PGL Major in Krakow in 2017. 500.000 USD prize money in total and the eternal entry into the history books will remain for the Russian team, which is now far from being world-class. In total Gambit has received prize money of around USD 3.2 million over the last five years and won four S-Tier tournaments. More than surprisingly, Gambit won the IEM Katowice in February 2021, but continued to stay among the world's best since then. At the Major in Stockholm, they placed 3-4th. which is a great result for the newcomers of 2021.

Gambit - Previous lineups & players

Gambit has always focused on players from the CIS region and hired mostly Russian, Ukrainian and Kazakh professionals. Probably the most famous players in the history of the organization are the later NAVI star Zeus, Dosia and mir, who is currently performing well with Spirit.

The last lineup consisted of four Russian professionals and a Kazakh named Hobbit. The former Gambit Youngsters were announced as the organization's main team in early October 2020. Since then, the team has more than surprisingly established itself at the top of the world and is currently among the favorites at every event before they transferred to Cloud9 on 24.04.2022.
