Liquid is an originally Dutch Esport organization that operates in North America. The organization was founded in 2000 and was a Brood War Team. In 2010 the organization became one of the best domestic teams in StarCraft 2 and finally decided to form a CS:GO team in 2015.
Liquid - Archievments & price money
The biggest accomplishment for the North American team so far was a win at the Intel Grand Slam Season 2 in 2019, where they were also awarded with prize money of around USD 1 million alongside the title. Liquid was also the first team in their region to reach a major final.
However, Liquid lost 0:2 against SK Gaming at the ESL One:Cologne 2016. Several S-Tier successes have a total prize money of 5 million USD at their disposal, making Liquid one of the most successful Esport organizations in the world.
Liquid - Previous lineups & players
The team has always been largely North American or partly Canadian and already included some great individuals. Most notable is Ukrainian star player s1mple, who was under contract with Liquid in 2016. At the end of 2020, Twistzz, who played about 3 1/2 years with the organization, announced his step-back from the team.
The back then core of the team has already been playing together since 2019 and was strengthened with Grim in 2020. In mid-2020, moses was chosen as the new head coach, but he has been replaced by adreN again in May 2021. As a replacement for Twistzz FalleN was signed on 09.01.2021 as the new Main-Awp and IGL, which allows Stewie2K to focus more on his individual strengths again. In late 2021 the lineup completely fell apart!
