Will NAVI secure another LAN title?

After the success at the Major, the team around star player s1mple is of course the big favorite at the BLAST Fall Finals. Together with Gambit, they stand out on the Global Leaderboard, which takes up of a total of 12 events into consideration, with almost twice as many points as third-placed G2. However, the team is qualified for the finals in December anyway due to their victories at the ESL Pro League Season 13, as well as the PGL Major. The opening match will be played against BIG Clan.

Astralis - Restructered

As recently reported in our "Transfer-News" article Astralis completely changed up their lineup, going into the final events of the year. As expected dupreeh, magisk and zonic didnĀ“t renew their contracts. Subsequently, Astralis signed blameF and k0nfig, as well as ave as head coach. The Danish top team will be the big unknown at the BLAST Fall Finals and already the opening duel against NiP will be trend-setting!

FaZe Clan

After a mixed year, FaZe Clan started well in the PGL Stockholm Major, advancing to the New Legends Stage with three consecutive wins and even winning the first duel of the Legends Stage against Evil Geniuses. In the end, however, it was not enough for the promotion to the playoffs, while the performance shows a clear upward trend. It remains to be seen how the team around karrigan will perform at the BLAST Fall Finals. In order to advance through the global ranking, the team would have to achieve a very good placement and also rely on the help of the other teams.

The Ninjas

NiP made it to the quarterfinals at the PGL Major, but still decided to change their lineup. At the BLAST Fall Finals, the team will compete for the first time with es3tag as the new fifth player. The Dane now has a solid history with top teams, having signed with Heroic, Astralis, Cloud9 and Complexity, among others, since 2017. While his last stations were short-lived and not particularly successful, we can only root for him to find a long-term home at NiP. The lineup has a relatively good chance to qualify for the BLAST Global Finals.

Conclusion

Six teams will play in the last opportunity to qualify for the BLAST Global Finals for the four remaining places. Two of the participants (NAVI, Heroic) are already qualified. You can find the full ranking here: BLAST Premier World Leaderboard 2021.
